Burley Moor Run

We are sad to announce that following a review of the risk assessment we have decided to cancel the Burley Moor Run 2024. We believe that the risk to runners and volunteers from changes to the Moor Road speed limit, driver attitudes and especially the volume of diverted traffic from the Ilkley Road is too high.  This was not an easy decision, but we would prefer to safeguard the longer-term prospects of the race and the Burley in Wharfedale Community Trust/   Summer Festival organisation as a whole.

We hope and expect to re-assess when the diversion is no longer necessary and re-instate the race in 2025 possibly with additional mitigation measures.
